Someday we can write a book about it if it all works out.

Review

Written by Philadelphia Inquirer beat reporter Zach Berman, the book follows the Philadelphia Eagles on their journey winning Super Bowl LII in 2017. I picked up this book during a business trip to Philadelphia, a city whose sporting culture is (in)famous and a city which I'm particularly fond of.

Berman writes about the recent history of the Eagles and many of the key characters on the team, such as head coach Doug Pederson and star QB Carson Wentz. Berman also covers some of the dramatic highs and lows of the season, such as losing key players to injury and the legendary Philly Special. While Berman presents a very sanitized and PG-friendly version of the story, his access to the team allows him to paint a picture of what the players are like off the field and the culture within the locker rooms.

Conclusion

A decent retelling of the Philadelphia Eagles' unlikely run in winning Super Bowl LII.
