Fuck you Chelios.

The film continues the story of Chev Chelios; after the conclusion of Crank, Chelios is revived but realizes that the Chinese Triad stole his heart. This time, Chev has to constantly electrocute himself to keep his artificial heart charged as he goes after those who stole his real heart.

Unlike the first movie, which was a gem, this film is so over the top that it felt like a B movie. There were certainly highlights, such as another cameo by Chester Bennington (RIP) and constant third-wall breaks (references to The Transporter and flipping off the audience). The humour is just as pitch black as the first movie, however, High Voltage felt a bit forced; the jokes were too explicit and much of the depth from the first film is discarded and replaced with superficial dirty jokes.

Conclusion

A much weaker film than the first, but still an entertaining watch.
