You stole my life from me.

Now, why would I want to steal the life of somebody who eats pieces of shit... for breakfast?

Review

In this pure nostalgia play by Netflix, a retired Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) is forced to pick up his golf clubs again to support his family and to protect the PGA from a new version of golf sponsored by an energy drink company.

As expected, the film is filled with callbacks to the first film and leans heavily on nostalgia. As with the first film, the humour relies on chaotic slapstick humour. This time, the cast includes Sandler's Happy and Christopher McDonald's Shooter McGavin, but also a cast of celebrities (mostly in cameos) such as Bad Bunny, Eminem, and Steve Buscemi. There are also many cameos from golfers like John Daly, Rory McIlroy, and Scottie Scheffler, and other athletes such as Travis Kelce, Boban Marjanović, and Kelsey Plum. Despite all the celebrity appearances, this film doesn't have the magic of the first movie and other than the nostalgia and celebrity cameos, pales in comparison with its predecessor.

Conclusion

A blatantly nostalgic film.
