I don't have delusions of grandeur, I have an actual recipe for grandeur.

Review

Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper) is a struggling author who obtains a mysterious pill that allows him to access 100% of his brain’s abilities. Morra obtains success with his new abilities but quickly enters into a treacherous new world.

Cooper’s Morra has great character development (except in the end, where he speaks possibly the worst Mandarin in cinema history, butchering the language completely). The supporting cast, which includes Abbie Cornish’s Lindy, Andrew Howard’s Gennady, and Robert De Niro’s Carl Van Loon are pretty solid and play their roles well. While the performances didn’t really blow me away, the story is very exciting with an interesting premise. I particularly liked the fast-paced cinematography, with many rapid zooming shots and exciting fast sequences.

Conclusion

Fun film with a fast-paced plot.
