You don't exist; you were never even born. Anonymity is your name. Silence your native tongue. You're no longer part of the System. You're above the System. Over it. Beyond it. We're "them." We're "they." We are the Men in Black.

Review

Another night, another Will Smith film before he ruined his reputation. This one features a young Smith as James, a NYPD officer who gets recruited into a mysterious organization that handles extracurricular activities on Earth. James and his new partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) must navigate an existential galactic situation that threatens Earth’s safety.

Smith’s character is lively and he has great chemistry with Jones’ more stoic Agent K. The supporting cast, which includes Linda Fiorentino’s Laurel, Vincent D'Onofrio’s Edgar, and Rip Torn’s Zed, are all decent and contribute to the story. The tone of the film is fun and the film doesn’t take itself too seriously. The film definitely feels dated, especially with regards to the special effects, though.

Conclusion

A fun movie about aliens.
