Review

Jennifer Aniston plays Audrey, a hairdresser from New York, and Adam Sandler plays Nick, Audrey’s police officer husband. Audrey and Nick go on a trip to Europe for their 15th anniversary and get caught in the murder of Malcolm Quince (Terence Stamp), an elderly billionaire.

The story is a classic whodunnit, with plot twists and clues scattered around the story. Both Aniston and Sandler play type characters, Aniston being constantly exasperated and Sandler being a goofball. Both the chemistry and the acting are ok but nothing spectacular. The supporting cast is a hit or miss; some characters such as Luke Evans’ Charles Cavendish and Dany Boon’s Inspector de la Croix, had good character designs and felt like characters straight from an Agatha Christie novel. Other characters, however, felt generic and dispassionate.

Conclusion

A film to watch if you want to pass some time.
