Memory is the ultimate definer of our lives.

Review

Gordon Dunn (Martin Donovan), the inventor of a device that can replay memories is found dead; Sam Bloom (Peter Dinklage) sets out on solving the mystery of Dunn’s death with this memory device.

I love the premise of the film and how the film tries to touch on human experience. The story is on the darker side as it deals with themes such as trauma and guilt. Dinklage really stands out in his performance as a tortured Bloom. The film tries to build suspense but the pacing was too slow and overall, the film just felt morose. I felt the film could have been better just as a drama instead of trying so hard to be a thriller.

Conclusion

An interesting premise that touches on human existence.
