I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Review

Liam Neeson is Bryan Mills, a retired CIA agent whose daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) is kidnapped by human traffickers in France. Bryan uses his CIA training to brutally track down Kim’s kidnappers.

The story is very straightforward but is well done and is written by legends Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen (they both did Fifth Element). Many of the scenes are intended to showcase Bryan’s ruthlessness and cunning. The dialogue is very well-written and the one-liners are iconic. The highlights are by far the action sequences, which are gruesome and very satisfying.

Conclusion

Satisfying revenge thriller.
