# Review

In this comedy film about NASCAR, Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) is reigning champ, supported by his teammate and best friend Cal (John C. Reilly). When the French Formula One driver Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) joins NASCAR and dethrones Ricky, Ricky’s wife Carley (Leslie Bibb) leaves him and Ricky also loses his place on his racing team.

As with Ferrell films, this one is silly and filled with satire and slapstick gags. The story is funny and parodies many sports movie tropes. Ferrell is great as always, Reilly makes for an excellent sidekick while Cohen’s Girard is hilariously French. I like how this film caters to NASCAR fans, such as featuring real drivers and cars, while also catering to a broader audience with its off the course antics.
