I feel like the shock feeling turned into sad, which turned into mad, which turned into crazy. I don't even know how to describe the feeling.

Review

In the latest sensationalist Netflix documentary, the film follows Lauryn and Owen, two teens from a small town in Michigan. The two teens have been receiving vile text messages from an unknown number. The film follows the investigation to the truth behind the messages.

The story is pretty insane, especially when they reveal the culprit behind the messages. I also think it's almost equally insane that it took authorities so long to figure out who the culprit is. The film features many interviews with everyone involved in the case, such as the victims, their friends and family, and the law enforcement/ authority figures in the community. Unfortunately, after the reveal, the film doesn't really get to the bottom of the culprit's motives. The pacing is also on the slower end and the production feels like a TV documentary.

Conclusion

A shocking story covered by an OK documentary.
