Review

The latest game being taken offline is a World of Tanks clone with modern day and near-future tanks. The core gameplay involves piloting a tank and completing different objectives.

Conversation Modern tanks

I haven't played World of Tanks in a while but Armored Warfare does distinguish itself in many ways, primarily in the selection of vehicles which include not only different tank classes but also AFVs and artillery. The core gameplay also feels faster-paced as the maps are smaller. The CryEngine effects and destructible environment feels generic today but would've probably been cutting-edge when the game was first launched. Overall the gameplay is easy to pick up and the team-based PVE objective missions are pretty fun, albeit on the easier side. The servers were pretty much dead when I picked this game up, so I was not able to experience any PVP. The developers probably should have added AIs to fill empty lobbies.

Minigame Easy PVE on lower levels

Conclusion

Decent tank shooter albeit basically dead with dead servers.
