Review

While this is technically a game targeted towards children, I’m a huge sucker for licensed superhero games so I had to check it out. The player assumes the role of either Krypto the Superdog or Ace the Bat-Hound as the heroic dogs try to stop Lex Luther’s plan to kidnap pets.

The main gameplay is a rail shooter, where the player is on a predetermined course and has to both dodge and shoot enemies. Both Krypto and Ace have different special abilities, I personally enjoyed playing as Ace more because of Kevin Hart’s voice acting. The gameplay is very simple but pretty polished. The main game does get very repetitive, especially the quick time events, but there are some boss fights which break up the monotony.

The game is relatively short but has some side gameplay, such as an adoption game where the player tries to match a pet to a potential adopter.

Conclusion

A pretty polished game for children.
