It’s over, dice kid.
Platform played on: PC
In this roguelike turn-based game show, the player assumes the role of a dice that is forced to progress through dungeons concocted by the show's host Lady Luck. As the dice and luck motif suggests, the game is one of chance where the player must fight procedurally-generated enemies with skills and abilities that are procedurally awarded.

I quite enjoy the quirky gameshow motif and the cute cartoonish art style and dialogues. The gameplay, while luck-based, has quite a lot of depth and one has to plan ahead for some of the later game dungeons. Each dungeon has multiple levels and the player has to weigh the risk-reward for fighting enemies and grabbing power-ups.

The actual combat is definitely the highlight of the game. The player rolls dice and uses the dice to power various abilities. Each dice has their own mechanic and abilities which change depending also on the dungeon. While progressing through the levels, players also pick up more abilities. My favourite dice is probably the robot, which has a gambling mechanism for rolling dice (unlimited dice rolls but the turn ends if the total sum of the dice passes a number). The game is relatively easy at first but the difficulty ramps up quite quickly, to the point where the later dungeons require a tremendous amount of luck on top of a sound strategy to beat. I also think it'd be cool to have some sort of PVP mode based on the combat gameplay.

A quirky RNG deck-builder that gets a bit stale near the end.
