Review

One thing I never fully understood is the appeal of idle games, where the lack of actual gameplay is the gameplay. This free idler is the most generic one. The player builds a deck of cards, with each card having an effect. The player then tries to maximize the damage per second (DPS) of the deck in order to defeat monsters to gather resources which can be further used to build the deck of cards.

The gameplay loop is very simple, and consists of just opening chests when one accumulates enough resources. There is an element of RNG, as one doesn’t know which cards one will get when opening a chest. Strategy does factor into the game though, as one can pick specific cards to rank up once a deck is filled. Strategy especially matters more later on in the game, where additional options such as guilds and heroes are unlocked.

Gameplay Gameplay

The game has some interesting features to improve player stickiness, such as the heavy reliance on RNG in pulling cards but overall the game feels generic, even the artstyle. The game is also buggy at times and the UI is not clean. Due to this being a free-to-play game, the game does stonewall the player at times in order to incentivize in-game purchases, but one can always restart and the game even offers certain perks for restarting.

Conclusion

An unpolished free-to-play idle game that's very grindy.
