Review

In this surprisingly charming mystery, you play as Frog Detective, the second best detective (after the legendary Lobster Cop). Frog Detective is sent on three perplexing mysteries that put his skills to test. The Complete Mystery is actually a compilation of three standalone cases.

Character Frog Detective, the star of the game

The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game

The first case involves a haunted island. The gameplay involves exploring the small island, chatting with various characters, and interacting with clues. The dialogue is hilarious and playing through the case feels like being let in on various inside jokes. The intentionally corny graphics also have a charming quality.

Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard

Frog Detective is called in to solve the case of vandalism. Now Frog Detective has a notebook to keep track of the progress of the case. The game really hits its stride in this case as the wholesome story and dialogue are both better than that of the first case.

Frog Detective 3: Corruption at Cowboy County

Frog Detective is called in to solve a mystery in a Western town and uncovers a sinister plot. There are many surprises in this case, the most exciting of which is the cool scooter. It’s a wholesome conclusion to the Frog Detective trilogy.

Conclusion

Frog Detective feels like how indie games should be: a simple game made with plenty of heart and a great sense of humour.
