Review

In this quirky point and click game, the player assumes the role of an enforcer for MerchantSoft, a company which sells a headband that allows users to browse a dream-based internet called Hypnospace while asleep. The player must browse the different webpages and report infractions against company policy.

Community Policing the Hypnospace

The game harkens back to the early days of the internet, with its flamboyant UI and fun rabbitholes. I really like the immersiveness of the experience and while I was too young to fully appreciate the nostalgic factor, it was still interesting exploring the myriad of webpages and communities which mirrored that of the early internet. While there is somewhat of a central story, the purpose of the game is exploration, which I greatly enjoyed.

Community Nostalgic corners of the early internet

Conclusion

A quirky and interesting point and click game.
