I honestly don’t even know how to describe this game, other than that it’s a puzzle game that is weird but quirky. You play as the titular character McPixel and you have to find your way out of perilous situations. The situations are short (a couple of seconds to a few minutes) and you have to solve the puzzle to progress.
McPixel
The puzzles themselves are laced with slapstick puns but the core gameplay progression basically just requires a ton of trial and error, which can get boring after a while. The comedy is also a hit or a miss; there’s a TON of gags about peeing on things and punching people. If those aren’t your cup of tea, you may find this game very obnoxious. I personally found some of the gags funny but most of it repetitive.
Pee jokes
The core gameplay mechanics of trying different things until you succeed is fun for a bit but does get old after a bit. There also aren’t any clues about how to proceed, so the player has to just brute force clicking things until they stumble upon the (usually nonsensical) solution. I did like the mechanic of collecting different scenarios on each level where you have to keep trying things to 100% complete each level and the various minigames embedded within the levels. McPixel 3 would be a great mobile game where you play for a couple of minutes at a time; I would also recommend playing with a mouse instead of a controller. The 8-bit soundtrack is also very catchy but can get incredibly repetitive (my girlfriend asked me to use headphones while playing).

A repetitive point and click with a quirky sense of humour.
