The story follows Emma Fisher, a doctor aboard the Observation low-orbit space station, who finds herself stranded alone aboard the station with weird events starting to happen around her.

Emma Dr. Emma Fisher

Instead of playing as Emma, you play as an AI called SAM (Service and Maintenance) onboard the spacecraft; you can switch between different cameras of the spaceship, access certain functions of the ship, and float around in a probe.

Gameplay Observing the cameras within the space station

Although the game isn't scary per say, but the atmosphere is extremely stressful; the score and the lighting both convey a scene of unease and ominosity. While the game is more or less linear, there are various collectibles which add to the story and make the puzzles easier. Some parts can also be a tad frustrating because there are many instances where the objective can be hidden away.

What I enjoyed the most about the game is the unique perspective of playing as an AI; it's very interesting to find that Emma, due to loneliness, gradually confides in and bonds with SAM, almost humanizing him. Exploring one's friendship with an AI is fascinating to me, because it may well be the future once AGI is achieved.

Conclusion

A decent puzzle adventure game with an interesting perspective.
