Review

The player plays as a nameless knight who descends into a hive of monsters. The player must navigate the hive in order to defeat the bosses and gather crystals. The twist is that once a boss is defeated, all the enemies level up and the game becomes harder.

Shooting Platformer shooter

The pixel art graphics are very nostalgic and the soundscape is actually pretty suspenseful and good for creating a horror atmosphere. The gameplay relies heavily on platforming and shooting; I found the game actually pretty difficult as the player dies after each hit and it took practice to get good enough to memorize the levels and beat the bosses. There are aspects of the gameplay which I found very clunky, such as the camera, which doesn’t follow the player until the player progresses into a new room; this causes the player to not have enough time to react to the enemies in the new room.

Conclusion

A decent horror platformer shooter.
