Review

In this colourful minimalist puzzle platformer, you play as Piku, a circular creature with stretchy legs capable of jumping and kicking. Piku must put an end to a nefarious plot to harvest all of the land’s resources.

Colourful Colourful world

I played this when it first came out on PC but never got far into the game due to losing interest. Playing through now on Xbox, I finally completed the game. The game is indie and feels particularly so. There are no fancy graphics; the artstyle is simple and reminiscent of the art of Roger Hargreaves. The gameplay, likewise, is also very simple, consisting of simple platforming and simple puzzles. Despite this, the game has a certain charm to it, from the quirky dialogue to the various amusing mini-games hidden throughout the levels, which has a wide variety, ranging from rhythm games to dungeons that focus on platforming.

The game also features a couch co-op mode, where the second player controls Niku, Piku’s orange peer. There are 9 levels and there are some fun bits within those levels too.
