Oh yes! Like I see you now. I'd rather forget the whole thing. Where do our taxes go? An enemy god is walking about freely, and the immortals do nothing. Why? This is outrageous! But don't be offended. I mean in general, not you personally.

Review

I enjoy playing games right before they go offline and this is the latest MMORPG to get the axe. In this fantasy and science fiction game, you play as an immortal of Aelion, a world constantly under threat from different enemies. An immortal is a sort of deity and as the player advances through the story, they gain new followers and abilities.

Gameplay Hanging out with other gods

The core gameplay involves the player progressing through missions or large open zones. The missions are mainly story-driven while the open zones have an exploration aspect. The action combat actually feels very fluid and the combat classes are flexible, so the player can experiment. My favourite aspect of the gameplay is Divine Form, when the player can explode in power for a brief period of time.

Gameplay Fighting in Divine Form

I played through the main story and overall found it pretty corny with stiff voice acting. The game is grand in scope but does feel repetitive after a while, especially with the zone exploration and the grindy progress. There were also some issues with polish, such as clunky UI, weird control mappings (for instance, the single and AOE attack buttons are swapped for Cryomancer and Lightbinder classes), and framerate drops even on an Xbox Series X. Despite this, I enjoyed the fantasy mixed with science fiction setting. The servers were too dead to try group or PVP content, so I wasn't able to fully experienced either.

Gameplay A mix between fantasy fiction and science fiction

Conclusion

Lacks polish but has some satisfying combat.
