Review

The player once more assume the role of Turnip Boy after the events of the previous game. Now Turnip Boy is helping rob a bank. The gameplay pivots from the Zelda-style adventure to a roguelite that features entering the bank, progressing as far as possible while collecting as much loot as possible, and returning to the entrance when the timer is up.

Turnip Boy Now a roguelite

The new gameplay is decent but definitely nowhere close to the polish of top roguelites like Hades. The RNG elements are engaging, especially all of the side missions. The game isn't large so it didn't take much grinding to 100% complete it. My favourite aspect of this game, as with the first game, is the lighthearted and silly humour throughout. The cute pixel-art style of the game is also very endearing.

Turnip Boy Same silly humour as the first game

Conclusion

A quick and easy roguelite with a charming sense of humour.
