We are narcos, but we have our honor.
Berna, you're a fucking drug dealer who sells poison by the kilo. Fuck your honor.
Previous Narcos review:
In the first season, the show follows Escobar's rise and in the second season, the story follows his fall. The plot is much more singular and it follows the hunt for Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) as the DEA noose tightens around him and those close to him.
Unlike most sequels, season 2 is actually an excellent follow-up of season 1. The pacing is tight and the intensity is kept up throughout the season. Moura's nuanced Escobar is still the center of the show with his physically restrained portrayal of the crime lord. The show does slow down at times in an effort to humanize Escobar, such as showing his gentle side with his family and having the scenes where Escobar goes to live with his father (Alfredo Castro). Overall, I really enjoyed the thrilling chase headed by DEA agents Murphy (Boyd Holbrook) and Peña (Pedro Pascal), who are now teaming up with Escobar's other enemies such as the widow Judy Moncada (Cristina Umaña) and the Cali Cartel.
A satisfying conclusion to the Escobar story.
