# Review

In this cozy murder mystery, three residents of the Arconia apartment complex, the retired actor Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), the flamboyant playwright Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and the young painter Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez). The trio are all true crime fans and start a podcast together when Tim Kono (Julian Cihi), another resident of the Arconia, pass away suspiciously.

My favourite aspect of the show is the trio's unlikely chemistry. Martin and Short's comedic timing meshes perfectly with Gomez's grounded and very millennial character. There were also some stellar supporting characters such as the famous podcaster Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) and the charming bassoonist Jan Bellows (Amy Ryan). The story is also very interesting with constant twists and turns, but does get a tad corny near the end. Despite the serious premise, the overall tone of the show is very cozy and warm, with a focus on the trio's personal lives and relationships.
