# Review

Mark (David Mitchell), a history-loving office worker, and Jez (Robert Webb), an unemployed aspiring musician, are roommates in London. Series 1 follows their disastrous romantic pursuits, job struggles, and petty rivalries.

The show uses a very innovative POV camera style with voiceovers of both characters' awkward and self-sabotaging internal monologues. This style allows one to peak into what both characters are thinking and adds to the external comedy. The sense of humour leans heavily on cringe comedy and there are many amazing bits, such as Mark questioning his sexuality towards his boss Johnson (Paterson Joseph) and Jez trying to leverage his family tragedy to seduce women.

Cringe comedy at its best.
