I've seen diss records kill peoples' careers. I made a few of those.
Previous Rhythm + Flow review:
Rhythm + Flow comes to Atlanta for season 2 with Ludacris, DJ Khaled, and Latto as new judges. The format of the show is the same with performances, cyphers, and rap battles but there is a new cast of competitors and judges, including some surprising names.
Overall season 2 feels more sanitized than season 1. There’s less banter from the judges; the judging is more tactical but less entertaining and (arguably) more biased. I did like Latto, however, and found her judging to be better than that of Cardi B in terms of giving actual feedback. The contestants from season 2 feel much weaker than that of season 1, and many contestants got further in the competition than they should have due to biased judging and lucky matchups. The season also feels more scripted as many performers who had stronger performances were eliminated too early. Even the R&B matchups feel weaker than that of season 1.
Still an entertaining show but much weaker than season 1.
