Review

This is one of my favourite TV shows of all time with an amazing sense of humour (although you need a high IQ to understand it). The stories follow genius mad scientist Rick Sanchez (Justin Roiland) and his normal and easily distressed nephew Morty Smith (also Justin Roiland), as they go on science fiction adventures across time and space.

The episodes are imaginative and unhinged parodies of sci-fi tropes. Unlike many sc-fi comedies which just put sitcom characters in space, the sci-fi in Rick and Morty actually drives the comedy with its ridiculous premises. I also like the well-written character dialogue, especially the character foil between the boorish and Machiavellian Rick and the naive and anxious Morty. The supporting cast, such as Morty's dysfunctional family and the quirky episode-specific side characters (voiced by the likes of John Oliver and Alfred Molina), were phenomenal as well.

Conclusion

Such a phenomenal show.
