We’re there to make money, not to make friends.
Past Wall Street Warriors reviews:
After finishing the first season, I was yearning for more; luckily, there’s a season two. In this season, the focus was much less on the buyside; the participants were mainly brokers and salesmen.
Once again, the show reinforces the stereotypes of finance, such as it being an old boys club as well as the frat-like culture of many brokers. One thing I did like was the portrayal of the actual chaotic physical trade floor; I thought it was interesting looking back in time at how markets used to work. I also enjoyed watching the boiler room guys' sales pitches while cold calling clients; although I suspect that it’s staged, there were definitely some memorable moments.
In this season, instead of just staging each scene, the production team has gone above and beyond and actually hired an actress to be one of the people being portrayed. Nathalie Emmanuel, of Game of Thrones fame is "Laetitia Vaval", a graduating student trying to break into finance. Truly, this show walks the fine line between fiction and reality.
Another entertaining season of "reality" TV.
