I would make a great mother, don't you think?

Oh, my God. A child would be so lucky to have you as its host.

Thank you. It must be your powerful asexuality that makes you such a good listener.

Review

After the events of the last film, Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) takes a vacation while awaiting the reinstatement of this AAA bodyguard license when Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek), the wife of infamous hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson), seeks Bryce's help after Darius is kidnapped.

While the film doesn’t take its story very seriously, the plot is pretty shallow and poorly thought out. The film focuses on the humour and to a certain extent, it delivers. It has the same bantering humour as the last film but a bit too much. Hayek’s Sonia was hilarious in the last film in her few scenes but in this film, her character is too over-the-top and kind of obnoxious because she gets much more screentime. Likewise, Reynolds’ Bryce is also exaggerated and becomes annoying. The supporting cast, which includes Frank Grillo, Antonio Banderas, and Morgan Freeman, feel underutilized and could have contributed much to the comedic chemistry.

Conclusion

Great humour should be subtle but this film tries too hard to be funny.
