As one of our founding Kingsman once said: This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

After the Kingsman’s headquarters are destroyed, the remaining Kingsman are allied with their American counterparts in a mission to save the world once more. While the film features many of the cast from the previous film such as Taron Egerton returning as Eggsy and Colin Firth returning as Galahad, the film also introduces new characters such as Channing Tatum’s Tequila and Pedro Pascal’s Whiskey.

I thought the plot was more silly than that of the previous film; there were many things I liked, such as the introduction of the American counterpart to the Kingsman organization, but at times the story felt too silly and lost a bit of engagement. The humour was also a hit or miss; maybe it's due to the length of the film, some of the humour felt forced.

The action sequences as well as the cinematography were both spectacular just like the first film and the performances were all solid. In a cast with so much star power it can be hard to get screen time, but I felt most of the actors and actresses got enough time to show off their characters. There were some missed opportunities, though, such as with Halle Berry’s Ginger.

Conclusion

Not as impressive as the first film but still fun and entertaining.
