Review

When the G7 leaders arrive in London for the funeral of the British Prime Minister, Secret Service Agent Banning (Gerard Butler) must protect American President Asher (Aaron Eckhart) when Pakistani terrorists launch a large-scale attack on all of London.

Much like the first film this film is a superficial story of good versus evil with some thrilling scenes. I do think this film has more plot holes than its predecessor but the story was never the main selling point. The scale of the action is much larger in this film as it encompasses all of London and not just the White House and the film develops the buddy-cop chemistry between Butler’s Banning and Asher’s Eckhart.

Conclusion

Another generic Hollywood action thriller.
