The principle I represent has an offer for you. Each death must look like an accident. Your specialty, I believe.
Previous Mechanic review:
Hitman Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is forced back from retirement by Crain (Sam Hazeldine) who is holding Bishop’s girlfriend Gina (Jessica Alba) hostage. Bishop must pull off three difficult assassinations for Crain.
The plot is pretty dumb and is built around the action sequences. Statham plays his classic silent but deadly character and Alba plays a generic damsel in distress. Hazeldine’s Crain is likewise very archetypal and didn’t really stand out. The film did have some decent talent, like Michelle Yeoh and Tommy Lee Jones, but they were used mainly as minor cameos. Overall the film is much weaker than its predecessor both in plot and dialogue, but the action sequences were pretty cool and had some nice scenery in the background.
A even cornier sequel.
