Good judgment comes from experience and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
Previous Simon West review:
In this remake of a 1972 film, hitman Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is tasked with killing his mentor and friend Harry (Donald Sutherland). Bishop, after killing Harry and realizing that Harry had been set up, mentors Harry’s son Steve (Ben Foster) in the art of becoming a hitman.
The plot is quite generic and the added twist of Bishop mentoring the son of one of his victims doesn’t really stir up the story enough to be interesting. Statham plays the stoic and deadly killer, a role which he’s accustomed to and excels at. Foster’s Steve is erratic and disorganized, and a great foil for Statham’s Bishop.
A corny Statham film with lots of action.
