Because almost nothing is available locally, every conceivable eventuality is covered. A five-star hotel room can never have a broken telly, so Patrick has 150 spares on hand, as well as 10,000 replacement pool towels.

Review

This documentary explores the inner workings of Baha Mar, the ultra-luxury all-inclusive mega resort in the Bahamas. The film details all of the amenities available to guests, which includes various food and drink spots, a full golf course, and a private zoo. The film details the logistics of running each of the amenities, such as the liquor dispenser system and the massive warehouses which store the goods required to run the resort. I enjoy the behind the scenes look at various employees’ jobs and the various design choices which guests may not be aware of, such as routing all the amenities through the casino to increase gambling foot traffic.

My favourite parts of the film, however, are the behind the scenes engineering features of the resort, such as the “I-95”, the underground tunnel which connects the entire resort, and the centralized AC, which is produced from one central location for the entire resort. While the information is scarce, I also enjoyed learning about the financial operations of the resort, such as the fact that the single resort makes up over 10% of Bahamas’ entire GDP.

Conclusion
