Review

The father (Rade Serbedzija) of one of the traffickers killed in Taken seeks revenge against Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and kidnaps both him and his ex-wife (Famke Janssen). Bryan’s daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) must work alone to save her parents.

Unlike the first film, the vigilante revenge plot of the story is largely gone. The story of the film feels like a generic action thriller. The fight sequences also feel less brutal than that of the first film and doesn’t feel as satisfying without as strong of a revenge motive.

Conclusion

Very generic action thriller.
