It's only a chest. No harm ever came from opening a chest.
Yeah, right, and no harm ever came from reading a book. You remember how that one went?
Previous The Mummy film review:
The cast from The Mummy returns and this time they face Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) along with a greater threat: CGI Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the Scorpion King.
The story is as predictable and full of holes as the first film. The CGI is more ambitious but still terribly dated. The characters are charming and likeable; I like how Brendan Fraser’s Rick and Rachel Weisz’s Evy are now an Indiana Jones-esque adventuring couple and they have a son, Alex (Freddie Boath), who is actually a decent child character. John Hannah’s Jonathan and Shaun Parkes’ Izzy provide comedic relief while Oded Fehr’s Ardeth Bay provides a sense of adventure and mysticism.
This is not a good movie, but it's bad in a fun way.
