Transportation is a precise business.

Review

Jason Statham is Frank Martin, an ex-Special Forces operator now working as a "transporter" for hire, someone who moves goods from one place to another, no questions asked. Frank looks to lead a quiet life and abides by his cardinal rules, which include things like "never change the deal" and "no names". Frank's world gets thrown upside down when he's asked to transport a gagged woman.

The acting is decent; François Berléand plays an excellent French policeman and Qi Shu plays a corny but charming romantic interest for Frank. The story is cheesy and unoriginal, but is very well-executed. Despite being in English, this film felt very French, with its setting along the French Mediterranean and its romantic tropes.

Conclusion

A cheesy but classic action film.
