In Bohnanza, players compete to grow and harvest beanstalks. The player can grow beans by building up the chain of bean cards, which can be drawn or traded from other players. The player must make decisions on which beans to grow, whether to trade cards with other players, and whether to keep growing the beanstalk or to harvest it.
The game is very simple to pick up but has quite a bit of depth when actually playing. The game has a large randomness factor in that players must draw cards and they must play cards in the order that they receive them. This forces players to take actions and make decisions. My favourite aspect of the game is the game theory behind whether to trade with other players and which players to trade with. The game is very fun with competitive players. Unlike Hengist, this game is very balanced.
A fun game that's easy to pick up but has deep gameplay elements.
