It has long been an axiom of mine that the little things are infinitely the most important.

Review

This is another twelve short stories involving Sherlock Holmes. The stories develop Holmes’ character, including giving the reader a peek at Holmes’ cases pre-Watson. Pivotal characters are also introduced, such as Holmes’ brother Mycroft and Holmes’ enemy Professor James Moriarty.

The short stories contained in this book are some of my favourite Holmes stories. They feature very colourful characters and intricate plots. The tones of these stories tend to be a tad darker than the previous short stories collection, and it works very well.

Conclusion

An amazing collection of short mysteries.
