Hey, can I ask you something? You ever notice that...

If you're gonna ask if you can ask me a question, give me time to respond. Unless you're asking rhetorically, in which case the answer is obvious - yes.

Okay, can I ask you...

Yes.

Thanks. You ever notice that Tess looks...

Ooh, don't ever ask that. Ever. Seriously. Not to anyone, especially not to her.

Review

Danny (George Clooney), Rusty (Brad Pitt), and the crew return as they're threatened by Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia), who wants the crew to return the money stolen from him in the first film. The crew must pull off a heist to pay Benedict back, or face ruin.

As with the first film, the plot is secondary to the clever heist ideas. To that extant, the film does deliver with some clever heists. Despite this, the story does feel like a step down from the first film due to the convoluted story line. The ensemble cast has witty banter but some of it does feel forced and overly smug. This film reminds of me of the heist episode of Rick and Morty where the heist artists keep trying to one up one another with plot twists and dramatic reveals.

Conclusion

A step down from the first film but still entertaining.
