Review

As with the other Secret documentary series, this film offers a behind the scenes look at a facet of the travel industry, in this case, a Qantas long-haul flight from London to Sydney. The film covers various roles of the flight, such pre- and post-departure operations, as well as the history of long-haul flights. This film also follows several passengers on their journey, including why they’re traveling.

I do think it’s cool to get a somewhat in depth look at an Airbus A380, including secret compartments one might not see when one flies commercial, such as the hidden crew rest area and the cargo hold. The film doesn’t offer as in depth of a behind the scenes as the other Secret films, though, especially in regards to engineering aspects of the flight. I also found that the passenger stories weren’t necessary for understanding how long-haul flights work.

Conclusion

A behind the scenes look at a long-haul flight.
