Review

The first Venom film was ok but this film, the sequel, sucks. Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), the host of the alien symbiote Venom, goes to interview a serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) to reignite his journalism career; Kasady becomes host to another alien symbiote Carnage and escapes prison.

I was initially excited that Harrelson would be in the film, but his lines were just bland. In fact, the entire film felt bland and pointless. The plot is nonexistent, the supporting characters felt useless, and even the fight scenes (the selling point of the film) felt mediocre. I especially didn’t like the fighting between Brock and Venom; it was supposed to be comedic relief but it just fell flat. This entire movie felt like it was made by a poorly trained AI model. Luckily, there were some cool CGI scenes with Carnage and the film wasn’t too long.

Conclusion

A very pointless film.
