Review

The third of the Has Fallen trilogy sees Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) being framed for the attempted assassination of President Trumbull (Morgan Freeman).

The same simple and predictable plot ensues as the good guys, led by an aging and weary Mike must race against time to protect Trumbull. The movie introduces Mike’s dad Clay Banning (Nick Nolte), a reclusive Vietnam veteran, who Mike has to work with to escape both the authorities and mercenaries hired by Salient Global. The two have decent chemistry and almost gives me Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade vibes. The supporting cast is largely forgettable, such as the unlikeable FBI agent played by Jada Pinkett Smith and the weasly Vice President played by Tim Blake Nelson.

Conclusion

The last film from the trilogy.
