Review

Gru (Steve Carell), Lucy (Kristen Wiig), Margot (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier), and Agnes (Madison Polan) welcome a new member, Gru Jr. (Tara Strong), to the family. At the same time, Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell), Gru’s former classmate and current nemesis escapes from prison, forcing Gru and his family into hiding.

The formulaic story and characters get even older and the introduction of the superpowered Mega Minions isn’t enough to make the film interesting. The same slapstick humour is still in Despicable Me 4 along with archetypical supporting casts, which includes the spoiled Poppy (Joey King) and the cold Valentina (Sofía Vergara). It’s a silly film without too much substance.

Conclusion

The same predictable film with new characters.
