Past Star Wars show reviews:
Ewan McGregor returns in his iconic role as Obi-Wan Kenobi after Episode III; a battered and broken man, Kenobi is tasked with protecting the young Princess Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) from the deadly and ruthless Jedi-hunting Inquisitors operating under Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen).
Unlike the energetic and action-packed The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi feels more mature, with the emphasis on Kenobi's depression after Order 66. To that end, McGregor delivers and excellent portrayal of Kenobi's character development throughout the series culminating to an epic showdown. I also enjoyed Kenobi's chemistry with Blair's willful young Leia. Although the show is sandwiched between two film trilogies and thus is constrained by the overall lore, there were still some novel story being shown, such as the first live-action introduction of the Inquisitors. The Inquisitors physically look cool but are weak villains (in the scheme of the Star Wars universe).
A more mature Star Wars mini-series with important characters from the prequel trilogy.
