DWIGHT, YOU IGNORANT SLUT!
Previous The Office review:
Season three continues the misadventures at the Scranton branch of the paper company Dunder Mifflin. The plotlines of the season involve the tumultuous love life of Michael (Steve Carell), the move to Stamford for Jim (John Krasinski), and the various plots involving Dwight (Rainn Wilson).
Season three continues what made season two so great. The writing is pretty amazing and the script is both funny and heartfelt. Despite being an episodic show with stories contained within each episode, the character development persists. I really like the character of Michael, who does many incredibly insensitive and selfish acts but also has many moments where he does the right things, such as when there are rumours of his branch being shut down. The premises of each episode are all pretty interesting and the new recurring characters being introduced, such as Karen (Rashida Jones) and Andy (Ed Helms), serve as good foils for existing characters. I was also surprised that Joss Whedon and J. J. Abrams both directed an episode in this season.
The show continues in the right direction.
