Review

In the final season of Billions, Michael Prince (Corey Stoll) is running to be the President of the United States while his closest advisors, Wendy (Maggie Siff), Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon), and Wags (David Costabile), scheme behind Prince’s back to derail his campaign.

Overall the season feels like the show is running out of content. While there are certainly good aspects about the show, such as the return of Axe (Damian Lewis) and the showcases of different iconic NYC restaurants, the increasingly unbelievable plot twists and corny dialogue definitely gets boring. The story is also not great, while the show tries very hard to paint Prince as a villain, I can’t help but empathize with his camp more due to the very underhanded tactics used by the supposed “heroes” of the story. If anything, the main takeaway from the show is to be cautious of the goals of those close to you, especially if you’re pursuing an audacious goal.

Conclusion

The show went out with a sputter but, while few, has its moments.
