We have watched how one moment, one choice, can ripple across space and time, giving birth to new stories. Heroes. Whole universes. But what if it's the wrong choice? What if the best of intentions has very strange consequences?

Review

Much like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye is about the torch being passed from one generation of superheroes to the next. In this case master archer Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) passes down his role to his protégée Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld).

By most accounts Haweye is probably the corniest hero out of the Avengers team but Renner is a decent actor so I’m glad his character gets a decent sendoff. Perhaps due to the holiday setting of the show, Hawkeye almost feels like a Christmas show with relatively more lighthearted moments, including goofy villains like the Tracksuit Mafia. Both Renner and Steinfeld’s performances are solid and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova is great as well. I do like how the show introduces some new characters into the MCU, such as Tony Dalton’s Jack Duquesne, Fra Fee’s Kazi, and Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez.

Conclusion

A fun Marvel holiday show.
